How have you been successful in implementing Job Levels/Grades and Salary Bands?

We are a growing organization and have needs for Job Levels and Salary bands, both for recruiting and internal growth/movement. We are starting the project out with defining all job roles or descriptions and then will work to create levels consistent across the organization and salary bands to match the levels based on location.
