Do you use any form of AI in the performance evaluation process at your company? If so, how have you used it and what have you learned?
This article in Fortune magazine suggests more organizations are starting to integrate artificial intelligence into the performance evaluation process with some fairly compelling upsides (like more time for coaching) but some pretty interesting risks and limitations.
We do not use AI in our review processes but I can see that if we had a better, more interconnected system, we could use data and metrics to support the review process. However, there will always be the need for genuine interaction, discussion and feedback, face to face with your manager. I would be highly disappointed in my manager if they conducted the process 100% through automation. This process is all part of the leadership coaching relationship.
